* Don’t let your dog lift its leg on any property belonging to others (potted plants, statues, buildings, car tires, mail boxes, etc.)
* Don’t let your dog charge up to other people or other dogs. This is very rude dog behavior. Not all people like dogs and not all dogs will happily accept a strange dog in their face. It is not necessary for your dog to visit with every other dog it sees and allowing your dog to do so could get your dog hurt by a dog that does not like strange dogs in its face.
* When your dog is on leash, it should only be allowed to greet other dogs
or people when you give it your permission to do so. And you should always secure permission from the other person before allowing your dog to greet.
* If you are in a location, with your dog, where another person is uncomfortable with the presence of your dog, it is polite to just remove your dog.
* For safety sake, keep a good hold on your leash at all times.
* If you use a retractable leash when other people or dogs are around, keep your leash short so it does not get wrapped around someone’s legs or get tangled in another dog’s leash.
* No Exceptions! “No Dogs” signs should be obeyed.
* No Exceptions! Always pick up after your dog.
